So, despite my self-inflicted exile, I decided to take care of a few things before next week. One of those was the kitchen backsplash. You all know my affinity for paint and before you start judging me, this WAS a plan from the very moment we "finished" the kitchen. When I originally planned the kitchen colors, I based them off a fabric that was Robin's Egg Blue. With that in mind, I painted the backsplash wainscoting that color. After finishing, I realized the curtains looked, well, bad. So, back to the red toile, which is really me anyway. I won't bore you with the angst I suffered over what color to actually go with, Mother Nature? Skipper Blue? Raspberry Truffle? In the end, Bolero won out -- I had a quart unopened already. So- here it is! A Bolero red kitchen. I swear, no more painting. Well, for at least a couple of years, year, months, month, weeks, week, we'll see.

that is a brillant idea to do the back splash with the wainscotting (spelling?). Looks great. And I love your china tea pot. I collect tea cups. Looks great. You have a wonderful eye.
